Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Prohibited Content & Activity

• Spam, bulk email without double opt-in, phishing, spoofing
• Malware, viruses, hacking tools, botnets, crypto miners, torrent trackers/seeding
• Child exploitation, illegal pornography, non-consensual imagery
• Illegal activity, fraud, harassment, threats
• Bulk email via shared server — use dedicated email service for >500 emails/day
• Resource abuse: exceeding allocated vCPU/RAM/inodes, long-running CPU processes, mining

Resource Limits (Enforced via CloudLinux)

Lite: 1 vCPU, 1GB RAM, 100k inodes, 15GB storage, 10 emails, 5 DBs. Pro: 2 vCPU, 2GB RAM, 250k inodes, 30GB NVMe, unlimited emails/DBs. Premium: 4 vCPU, 4GB RAM, 500k inodes, 60GB NVMe. Unmetered bandwidth fair-use. Backup limits: weekly Lite, daily Pro/Premium.

Email Policy

Unlimited accounts on Pro/Premium but fair-use. Outbound 200 emails/hour/account, 500/day/account on shared to prevent spam. Use SMTP auth, no open relays. Spam complaints via feedback loops lead to warning then suspension.

Enforcement

Step 1: Warning ticket with 24h to resolve. Step 2: Suspension. Step 3: Termination after repeated violations or immediate for critical abuse (spam, phishing, child exploitation, malware). Abuse reports to abuse@opsedgehosting.com via client portal tickets.
